Our company was founded over 60 years ago in Watertown, Ma by Domenic Taverna. Mr. Taverna had a steel fabrication business and made burial vault molds for local vault companies. He entered the burial vault industry in 1957. He was the second person to develop a plastic-lined burial vault the first being Wilbert. He had great success with it developing a franchise network of over 50 vault dealers nationwide.
Over time, the company moved from Watertown to Quincy and then Whitman in 1986. We built a 50,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility on an 8-acre site.
Whitman Burial Vault is operated today by the second generation, Lorraine & Mark Donovan, third Bruce & Julie Delle Chiaie, and the fourth Bruce & Julie’s 2 sons Zach & Evan.
Like you, we are a family-operated business that puts everything we have into it. We are committed to producing high-quality burial vaults while providing excellent graveside service. We take great pride in having you as a customer.
Your business will never be taken for granted.
